I look out from the front of my ship. On the very distant horizon I see a large green mass, seemingly rectangular. I turn my ship to the right and I see the same. Once more, there it is again. I stop for a minute and take in my surroundings. The roar of my ship’s engines die down and give way to silence. I look back at the map He gave me, then down into the dark void below and above me. When I look back up, the green blocks have advanced. I realize that they keep coming closer and closer. Fast.
The man said that the way would change, and to beware of the six sided beasts. I look back at the crumpled map and see only patterns of small grey lines expanding outward, forming larger and larger hexagons… The six-sided beasts. I have looked at three sides of my field of view, all of which are occupied by one of the green rectangles. So, I quickly turn 2 more times and see that they are blocked. Five down, one to go. I see why the man said to beware of 6. I turn one more time and find an opening. It was perfect timing, because now they are close enough to touch, and I have just narrowly avoided a devastating crash. I try to picture what I just went through from the top. It’s a hexagon missing one side, the very gap I just went through. I refer back to the map the man gave me and stare in awe. It’s a series of ever growing hexagonal patterns, and I just went through the first hexagon. Next, I see that there will be only 3 sides filled in, so I shift one to the left and see the opening approaching, or am I moving towards it? I look back and see that the hexagons I’ve gone through are being sucked into a tear in the void. The man warned that it would be disorienting, and he also said to never go up or down into the void. He said that bad things would happen if I went up or down. He called at a glytch. What a fascinating word, I wondered what it meant, but really didn’t want to find out what was behind that tear. To avoid it, I floored my accelerator. In my contemplation, I forgot to check the map, and I saw a large, flat rectangle coming towards me at a blinding rate and I crashed.
I thought it would all be over and I would finish my quest before I even fully started. Everything started to go slow motion and I prepared myself for the pain. The crash. In what seemed like an eternity, I plummeted to my doom towards the green hued block. At the last moment before collision, my ship stopped, and so did the advancing hexagons. I felt a tingling in my toes and up the rest of my body. My ship seemed to slip out of existence, and was something like teleported. I don’t know what happened and I don’t know where I am, but, again, I see the green blocks descending on me. I go to check the map again, but it’s gone. Now, I’m really on my own. I must find the exit to this cruel maze and find what the man was seeking.
It's awesome.
